Bert's Daily Report - 3/1

Short-Story-Sunday:

And there I was – sitting at my kitchen table, watching the sun creep up above the mountains in the distance. The sky was full of awesome morning glow. The cream in my freshly brewed cup of coffee made a shape that looked an awful lot like the peaks at Anthony Lakes. Still I sat, wondering what to do with the day.

Then, out of nowhere, a raven flew up to my window and exclaimed, “go to Anthony Lakes and make some turns today. You will experience great fun and the fresh mountain air will give you peace.” I promptly transferred my coffee to my beloved to-go cup, threw my skis atop my car, and headed to my favorite high mountain playground (yes, even if the forecast was calling for a wintery mix of precip). The day was great, fun was had, and it was the perfect end to the weekend.
