In conjunction with Oktoberfest, ALMR will host the first Anthony Lakes 5k(ish) Run (or walk). All proceeds from the run will benefit “Raising Funds for Rural Skiers – Anthony Lakes Rental Shop Building Project.” Preregistration is highly encouraged.
- Cost is $20 per participant and $15 for 12 & under
- Registration and check in/bib pickup is at 9am
- Race starts at 10am
- Prizes for top finishers

COURSE PROFILE: Starting in the main parking area, this 3 mile course offers a steady climb up the summer road for mile one. Mile two descends to Hoffer Lakes and continues to descend down the Hoffer Lakes trail to Anthony Lake. The last mile is mostly flat and follows the road past the boat ramp, the Elkhorn Crest Trailhead and the Anthony Lake Guard Station, finishing back at the ski area parking lot.
The run offers some technical foot work while descending the Hoffer trail, but is mostly on well-traveled forest road. Yes, the first mile is a climb, but runners are rewarded with a fun downhill and flat finish. The scenery is pretty great too!
